We all need a little indulgence to lift our spirits to a new high. Last week at a farmers markets on the northern beaches in Sydney one of my great customers was telling me about an amazing tasting and truly healthy dairy and egg free chocolate mousse. The deal sealer for me was when I saw a picture of here 3 year old twin sons covered in chocolate with huge smiles on their faces. The secret to this delicious chocolate mousse is fresh ripe avocado, ripe banana and raw cacao powder and a rich whole-food sweetener. An interesting combination that makes one of the richest, smoothest and most moorish chocolate mousse.

20 minutes | Cook 1 minutes
  1. Peel the ripe avocado and put in a food processor or good blender with the banana. Blend until very smooth.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and blend until very well blended.
  3. Spoon the chocolate mousse into a bowl and put in your refrigerator for at least an hour to set. The mousse will become very thick.
  4. Enjoy the chocolate mousse alone, with berries and nots or served on a biscuit or nut slice base.
